Building Churches for the Churchless!

Below is a word from Bro. Ravon…

My name is Ravon Caudill. I am from Traphill, North Carolina. I was born May 16, 1949 (which makes me 59 years old as I write). I gave my life to Jesus as a drunk many years ago, and on March 11th 1992 surrrendered to the call to preach. On March of 1995, I went with a friend to Africa for 2 weeks to preach there. On that trip I felt like a failure because I only had 7 converts, but my church praised God for 7 and encouraged me. I went again the following September and have been going for the most part at least once a year. I have been pretty much all over the country of Ghana, preaching the word of God and seeing many souls come to Jesus to be saved.

I eventually took over a ministry that was started by another work, that was suffering because of non-support. I have supported it for the past 6 years with $100.00 (one hundred dollars) per week, and of course that was because of the goodness of God to keep me healthy so I could work and send it. The money I send supports a school with over 200 children who get taught the word of God as well as their education that is required by the state. They also get at least one meal a day at the expense of what God blesses me to send. We also have a small church there on the school compound of which my African associate Brother Emmanuel Ameyaw pastors. Emanuel has 4 children of which 3 are in this school.

Our ministry is not confined just to this area, but also takes us all the way to the far North of Ghana, to villages that not even the local pastors go to preach where there are no churches. We have begun 4 churches in the North so far and others desiring us to build churches in their villages. It touches our hearts every time someone asks us to come back and to start a ministry. Last trip, I preached in a particular village and had 25 grown folks to respond and 10 children for salvation, and that’s just one village. There is no end to ministering there in Ghana, not even to mention all the other countries in Africa.

We love the Africans, and God has made a bond between Africans and myself and whosoever will go with me. The needs are so great, and we pray that God will touch everyone’s heart who reads this to help in this ministry, which is much bigger than we are. We are wanting to build at least 3 more churches in hopefully the next year or two there, and with your help, this is possible. But the most important part, of course, is Prayer and I beg you to keep this ministry in prayers!

May God bless you!
